The story of this form
A keepsake urn shaped as an angel with folded wings, made from engineered ceramic with a smooth, stone-white matte finish. The sculptural form reads as a small figurative presence, suited to a mantel, a shelf, or a windowsill. The underside carries a discreet access point closed by a fitted cap. A quiet, watchful tribute brought inside and set down where the light finds it.
The material
A composite: real ceramic particles held in a resin binder. The ceramic is what you feel, the weight and the coolness of stone. The binder holds it in one continuous form and makes it less brittle than fired pottery.
There is no glaze on it. The stone-white color and the velvet-matte surface are the material itself, running all the way through, so there is no coating to chip away.
Size
7.6″ tall, 3.7″ wide
This design is sculpted, so its shape sets the volume. It holds 10 cubic inches, a share of someone rather than all of them. Families keep one at home while another urn holds the rest, give one to each of several people, or use it for a small pet.
A whole adult needs roughly a cubic inch for every pound they weighed. Our sized urns cover that.
Questions
Yes. There is no glaze to craze or chip, and no fired clay body to crack along a hairline. The color runs all the way through, so a scuff does not expose a different color underneath. It is not indestructible, and it is worth handling with care.
